I have been writing since I was about 13 years old. It all started with a Harry Potter fanfiction back in eighth grade that I thought was SO awesome when I first wrote it (mostly because a lot of my classmates read it and loved it, so I kind of got a nice ego boost!), but looking back now it was really nothing but pure crap with my main character being such an obvious self insert Mary Sue it's not even funny. And... no, it will never see the light of day, so don't even ask to see it! I don't think anyone would want to see it anyway... it might make your eyes bleed... yes, it's that bad. It makes me cringe every time I simply look at the notebook I wrote it in. I only keep it for nostalgic purposes; plus, it's nice to see how far I have come in my writing!!
I have a Bachelors Degree in History (I minored in Geography) and a Masters of Arts in Teaching. Which means I was in school for SIX years. Four years for my Bachelors and another two for my Masters. I am a certified teacher. I am certified to teach middle grades (4th-8th grades) social studies, language arts and reading, and secondary grades (6th-12th grades) social studies (specifically, history and political science) but I truly love teaching middle school! :) I am currently teaching seventh grade social studies and langauge arts.
Writing, is, and probably always will be, just a hobby since I love teaching too much to give it up!
I tend to write mostly vampire fiction. I have no idea what got me into them. I think it somehow started when I stumbled across Fictionpress when I was only a sophomore in high school and started reading vampire fiction on there. I just remember having a vampire story idea in my head that I just had to write down... and that's really how my non-fanfiction writing career got started. That first story has since been rewritten twice (I am currently rewriting it for a second time under the title 'When It All Falls Apart"). "Blood Pet" is by far my most successful vampire story.
I also write some teen fiction as well. I am a huge fan of Meg Cabot and so I definitely take some inspiration from her for these stories. "Play Ball" is definitely my most popular teen fiction story at the moment.
